Design Week 2019 | Cubebot at David Weeks Studio

"The best designs are the ones created for yourself. The toys I’ve developed came from playing with my kids, looking closely at their toys and studying the details of their construction. Inspired by Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles, the Cubebot is a non-traditional take on the toy robot by joining Japanese traditions with contemporary toy culture. Built out of hardwood blocks and held together with elastic bands, it can stand in many poses and fold into an unassuming cube. As an iconic part of David Weeks Studio, Cubebot is a universal toy for young and old play." -David Weeks
